We have used “WAVE (Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool)” Chrome plugin to evaluate the site. We try to keep all text high contrast, added “alt tags” to all of the images, and used hierarchy text. We use text instead of images in the site navigation and titles. We use “ARIA roles” on navigation links and buttons.
Our website utilizes an accessibility plugin that adds many functions that help with accessibility. Screen readers can skip the menu and go directly to the content. Menus work with a keyboard and not just a touchscreen or a mouse. A visible focus border is also used.
